Assets, Location & RiskAsset Information

What the property
actually is.

Riskscape's own high-definition address and cadastral database, extended with structure detection, height and use classification. Every figure downstream inherits its accuracy from this layer.

Tier one

What the asset layer resolves

Nine things ALR establishes for every site before anything downstream is measured, from the erf boundary to the confidence of the match.

Identity

HD addressing & cadastre

High-definition addressing built over years, maintained in-house. Metre-level geocoding that resolves the office parks, gated estates, sectional title schemes, rural addresses and informal settlements that defeat generic geocoders. Resolution is to the erf, not a suburb centroid.
Structure

3D footprint & height

LiDAR and stereo imagery resolve building outline, storey count and floor area, including predicted gross leasable area for retail.
Use

Building classification

Every structure is classified by use. The classes are residential, office, retail, production, warehousing, agricultural and institutional. Vulnerability, replacement cost and exposure are then modelled against the right building type.
Value

Valuation & replacement

Market value, replacement cost and structural characteristics, so exposure is modelled on the building that is actually there.
Your network

Branches, stores & outlets

Upload a branch or franchise network as a plain address list and every trading site becomes a mapped asset, whether a bank branch, retail store, depot or service point. Each carries the same risk and area intelligence as an insured building.
Their network

Competitor sites, mapped too

Riskscape's POI layer places competing brands and formats on the same map as your own. It shows which brands trade in an area, how many sites each holds, and which of your areas a rival has entered and you have not.
Portfolio

Exposure & grouping

Sites grouped by business unit, region, policy class or franchisee, with exposure or turnover rolled up across the entire network.
Onboarding

Bulk geocoder access

Upload a CSV of South African addresses and match them against Riskscape's own address database, built and maintained in-house, to get back coordinates, standardised addresses, SG21 property keys and a confidence band per record. Access comes with ALR, with no separate product to buy. Volumes are agreed to suit the size of your portfolio.
Matching

Confidence per record

Every match is graded, so you can see which sites resolved to the erf and which need review rather than discovering a mislocated asset inside a risk report. New stores, closures and acquisitions re-geocode on the same basis, so a portfolio stays comparable to itself.
Why it is the foundation

Get the address wrong and everything after it is wrong.

A flood depth, a crime index, a catchment figure and a replacement cost are all answers to the question “at this point”. If the point is a suburb centroid rather than the erf, every one of them is describing somewhere else.

The hard cases

Where generic geocoders fail

Office parks with one street address and forty tenants. Gated estates behind a boom. Sectional title schemes where a single erf carries dozens of separately titled units. Rural addresses with no street name. Informal settlements.
The consequence

Silent displacement

A geocoder that cannot resolve those cases does not fail loudly. It returns a plausible point somewhere nearby. The risk score that follows is precise, confident and about the wrong property.
The safeguard

Graded, not guessed

Every match carries a confidence band, so you can see which records resolved to the erf, which to the street, and which need review, before they reach a report.

Available on its own. If you need the addressing and cadastral layer without the platform, it is sold as Property Information and through the Bulk Geocoder, including API access for origination and onboarding workflows.

Send us ten addresses.

We will run them through the geocoder and show you exactly what comes back. Coordinates, standardised address, SG21 property keys, structure detail and a confidence band per record.
